About Us
We are a group of people whose objective is to preserve the history and heritage of African and Caribbean people. Our group is called: PRESERVING OUR HISTORY AND HERITAGE (POHAH), It was established in March 2016 to manage a project that marked the 100th anniversary of World War 1.

Black Brtitons in WW1 Project
This publication contains the work of a group of community volunteers who first came together under the name ‘Preserving Our History and Heritage’ (POHAH) in 2015 to highlight the contributions of Black British servicemen and women to World War I. With an award from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2016, the group managed a project that researched the contributors and identified the memorials of some of WWI’s unsung heroes.
